4. All Edits: I put the three photos into photomatics and then chose painterfly. The saturations were up really hi and to make things look a little more natural I turned them down. I then tilted the photo vertically to fix the strange tilt to the building. I add a lot of sharpness and then masked it out and then used a mask to bring back the sharpness around the door and window.

5. I chose this picture because of all of my shots I liked the style, colors, and subject of this better than any other. Plus if I am going to have a huge picture of something that I took hanging on my wall I wanted what would please me.

Favorite Pics

Wagon, F/2.8, 1/80. 2/10/12, 12:20. I added a lot of saturation to the reds, sharpened the image and changed the levels to get more light in the back of the shed.

School House Frills, F/4.0, 1/60, 2/10/12, 2:12. I simply made this image Black and white.

Point of view, F/2.8, 1/500, 2/10/12, Hotel. Now this was an interesting shot. I was playing with some setting that I had not noticed before on my camera and I came across Toy Camera, It gave a halo affect to what I was shooting. So although the room was pretty bright, my ISO was set at 100 It made only the window and that circle in front of it have light. For editing I tried adding a little more color out the window and changing the temp to make things a little warmer.

Touch of Sepia, F/2.8, 1/500, 2/10/12, 2:41. I was in a hurry because my early ride home was about to leave so I very quickly ran into the store and shot some glass shots that caught my eye. For editing I wanted only a small amount of color in these bottles so that each would be defined.

Light in the window, F/6.3, 1/60, Hotel 2:22. This is one of the props that I brought along to play with. DI only a dollar fifty, it is now part of my decor in my apartment. I edited this shot in camera raw and added more yellows and orange saturation  to bring out the brass and the similar color found in the underlying wood. 

Gemstone, F/4.0, 1/640, Store 2:53. I added a lot of saturation, added more contrast and sharpness and turned the temperature a little warmer.

Ghostly Fun, F/2.5, 1/125, Hotel 2:30. I changed the shadows to a blue while keeping the highlights yellow. I wanted this picture to be other worldly. With the softened shadows I think it works.

Valentine, F/5.0,1/80, 12:27. This is my favorite shot of all my shots. I love these handles and this was just a quick Oh I like that shot. The red saturation was turned up and the temperature warmed up as well.

Batten down the latches, F/7.1, 1/80, House 12:16. I kept hearing how cool the shutters on this house were but it was really the latches that caught my eye. The rust on them were just so interesting to me for some reason. I sharpened the picture, and upped the red and orange saturation.

Reverse Shallow Depth

Dangerous, F/5.6, 1/320. For these shots I was on Julies Rebel and manually changed the focus so that her face would be in focus rather than the barrel which was closer.

Blur and Freeze

Jumping Skills, Trenton was nice enough to jump several times until I got a picture that I liked. Yeah I was picky about his expression. f/5.6, 1/320, ISO 800, at 12:46 pm Blacksmith. I added a lot of sharpness to this photo and warmed up the temperatures. Unfortunately I somehow  managed to completely erase the ghost blur shot that I worked super hard to catch. This is a lesson on backing up your files.

Macro

Portraits

Boy in the window, this little guy was such a pro at this. There were four people at one point taking pictures and he didn't complain just took turns looking into different cameras and doing what was called out to him. For this picture there was a gold reflector shining soft light back at him. Then I did very minor edits on removing the circle under his eye and evening the red in his cheeks.

Sitting Pretty. We had the gold reflector for fill light and I changed the exposure a little to brighten things up a smidge. As far as editing goes I added pink to her cheek, smoothed out her forehead and neck and added lip color.

HDR

Ghostly, I took the three pictures of this doll and put them into HDR and chose the painterfly. I thought it gave the colors and textures a more ghost like nature. The three photos had F/8.0, f/6.3, f/5.6, 1/125 and were taken on my CanonPowerShotELPH500HS

Welcome to church, I set the TA's camera up on the tripod and then had the hardest time getting the angle I wanted. I ended up dropping the back leg down so that it was leaning back at an angle that allowed this shot. I then took the photos into Photomatix and drastically turned the saturation up. 

Edits

Here I matched the color from CreepStare and On the Rocks to retain some of the natural colors that the bright sun bleached out. I simply put both pictures in photoshop with creepstare on top then chose the match color.

CreepStare: in this photo I removed all zits with spot removal and than evened skin tones with the eye drop select and brush.

Beebs & Cab, I added more contrast by adding a level and then smoothed out complexions with the brush tool and added white to their teeth pulling from their natural color.

On The Rocks redone, I added contrast bumped up the color in her lips and earrings and smoothed out complexions.

CheesGrin, in this photo I added the depth back in by giving her lowlights and highlights, whitened her teeth, and added aqua back to her earrings.

On the rocks: original picture that I pulled the color for the match from.  In this photo I played with Breanne's eyes making them a purple blue.

For Breanne I spot removed all blemishes and then added color from her scarf to her lips. I brushed her skin tone even and then added color into her earrings.

Full, 2/4/12, Gardens, f/7.1, 1/80, CanonPowerShot,ELPH500HS I cut this image down so there was less of everything else and more of her.

Laughing couple, 2/4/12, f/8.0, 1/80, CanonPowerShot,ELPH500HS I did a lot with this image trying to smooth out her complexion but leave the color in her cheeks. There are a few spots where that didn't work so well for a reason I could not figure out. I softened the bright light on them, smoothed the complexion with the brush tool, took color from her scarf and added it to her lips, whitened her teeth, and added the color back to her earring.

Here I added color to her eyes and brushed her skin even and then whitened her teeth.

 These are my friends Breanne and Caleb who were so kind to let me take pictures of them. They are not actually a couple they had me take couple shots so that they could prank a mutual friend who is on her mission. That is why I was able to get so many fun shots of them laughing. They were super uncomfortable with standing so close to each other.

Alley, 1/28/12, 11:50, Idaho Falls, f/2.8, 1/125 This alley is in downtown I.F. in raw I turned up the warmth, made the blue bolder and put the contrast back in.

Swans, 1/28/12, 4:04, Rexburg, f/8.0, 1/125 These Swans were flying overhead as I was headed to the computer lab and I love swans so I used it. I made the image sharper, dialed up the pinks in the wings and put the blue back into the sky. I then put a swipe of darker blue around the left side for contrast.

This is the view of the temple and the waterfall in Idaho Falls. Sadly the temple was super small in the shot. I added saturation and some contrast to make it more true to what I saw.

Used the adjustment layers and took all the colors darker.Then masked out the branches and needles in the fore front.

For this picture I used an adjustment layer darkening the picture. I then went in and masked out some darkness so that the flower would have highlights of color.
